Flex-e-vouchers launched Europe's first Mastercard Maestro shopping mall gift card scheme at the Bullring, Birmingham in November 2005.
The success of the award winning Bullring Gift Card scheme has led us to roll out our Mall Gift Card to most of the leading malls in the UK. Our blue-chip client base includes many of world's leading commercial property owners.
Gift Cards provide shopping mall owners with rich data regarding both the purchasers of the Gift Cards, and the spending patterns on redeemed cards. In addition, Gift Cards help to drive footfall and incremental spend in the mall, as well promoting customer loyalty.
Mall Gift Card Features
Flex-e-vouchers offers the most flexible Mall Gift Card programmes in Europe. We work closely with our shopping mall clients to align the Gift Card programme with their objectives, whilst satsfying the needs of their own customers.
Gift cards can typically be loaded with up to £1,000, and our proprietary technology systems stringently comply with all relevant Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) legislation. Gift cards can be spent in retail outlets that accept debit/credit cards.
We can support a wide variety of consumer charging models. Please contact us to discuss these in detail.
Proprietary Technology System
Flex-e-vouchers unique proprietary technology system manages all aspects of the mall gift card programme, from card issuance through to authorisation and clearing of spend transactions, and financial reconciliation of all funds within the gift card scheme.
Flex-e-vouchers' touch-screen EPoS system, Flex-e-pos, is installed on the customer service desk of the mall as part of the gift card scheme implementation. Flex-e-pos features customisable, added-value features such as Customer Loyalty programmes, Wedding Lists and Christmas Savings Clubs.
We uniquely offer a fully outsourced financial control service, allowing our shopping mall clients to focus on the sales and marketing activities. Our clients sell the Gift Cards and bank the cash - we do everything else!
Flex-e-point Kiosk
Flex-e-point is Flex-e-vouchers proprietary kiosk system that allows Gift Cards to be sold and dispensed to customers without a member of the Shopping Centre customer services team being present. Payment can be made by Chip & Pin debit or credit card.
Flex-e-point may be operated as additional points of sale in parallel with the Flex-e-pos till system or as stand-alone points of sale for Shopping Centres that do not have a Customer Services desk.
Closed Loop Gift Cards
Flex-e-vouchers have developed, and operate, a closed-loop Gift Card scheme. Closed-loop card schemes typically operate where the point of sale and redemption of the Gift Card are the same e.g. single retailer Gift Cards, hotel chains etc.
Cards may be only be spent at participating merchants. All spend transactions are processed across FEV's transaction processing system via a secure web browser or via remote web services. In multi-currency schemes Foreign Exchange transactions are performed in real time at the point of sale.
Flex-e-vouchers has successfully operated a closed-loop gift card for the prestigious hotel group, Red Carnation Hotels, since 2006.
