The multi-million pound redevelopment of one of Manchester’s most famous landmarks finally got underway on Thursday 4th September 2003, with the start of construction works on site at Manchester Arndale, the Shopping destination at the heart of Manchester City Centre.

A £150million investment by the Centre’s owners Prudential, the project will see the part of Manchester Arndale to the north of Cannon Street, including the old bus station, partially demolished and rebuilt over the next 36 months to form an extended and revitalised Centre. But it will be business as usual during the redevelopment for retailers in the southern part of the Centre, where a £10million refurbishment project is nearing completion.

The Centre has everything you could possibly want when it comes to shopping. It has a huge selection of exciting shops from the leading High Street names to lots of smaller, stylish specialists. The real beauty of Manchester Arndale is that this exceptional range of shops is all under one roof, open 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday 9-6, Sunday 11-5.
