From the Autumn of 2002, Canary Wharf shops and restaurants opened on Sundays, extending Canary Wharf's retail offer to a seven day a week shopping experience.
Also in September 2002 the new Waitrose Food & Home store (part of the John Lewis Partnership),
opened in Canada Square, further bolstering the breadth and appeal
of the Cabot Place and Canada Square Malls.
With over 140 shops, bars and restaurants, Canary Wharf's Cabot Place and Canada Place malls
were already a popular weekend destination. And there is plenty for visitors to see and do besides, with the beautiful parks, waterfront eateries and public art and exhibitions around the estate. Saturday is one of the busiest days of the week for many of the shops and demand is such that many of the retailers already open throughout the whole of the weekend.
A new shopping centre, Jubilee Place, is now open in Canary Wharf.
Joining the successful Cabot and Canada Place shopping malls, there are over 200 shops, restaurants, cafes and bars in Canary Wharf. Adjacent to Canary Wharf tube station, next to Jubilee Park, you'll have even more of the relaxing and enjoyable shopping experience you've come to expect from Canary Wharf.
Flex-e-vouchers launched a Jubilee Place Gift Cheque promotion for Canary Wharf
